This presentation of this negative has been burned and dodged in Lightroom and contrast enhanced in the lower regions zone VI and iii — in particular the house— midday sun, and I had carelessly set my meter to a narrower meter reading than I wanted. I darkroom print nearly all of the negatives here on this blog at least to 8 by 10 and try to keep careful notes on how it was done.. Printing to match this this on traditional paper wasn't easy. At 8 by 10 the contrast reading I kept getting suggested Gr. 3 , but it was far too harsh . I narrowed to a pre-exposure of the house of 3 secs gr. 4, a 12 section exposure at gr. 2 where the house was dodged for 7 secs and finished with sky and snow burning 4 secs respectively
